Man accused of throwing knife at wife
JANESVILLE A Janesville man threw a folding pocketknife at his wife and his neighbor and held the same knife against the throat of the couple’s roommate after consuming a liter of whiskey Tuesday night, according to Janesville police.
Police responded to 545 S. Main St. at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday after 911 received a hang-up call, Sgt. Brian Vaughn said.
Officers arrested Gene Hasel, 36, on charges of domestic endangering safety while armed, domestic criminal damage while armed and domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
Hasel’s wife tried calling 911 after her husband threw a knife at her while she was sitting on the couch. The knife landed near her and in the sofa cushion, Vaughn said.
Then Hasel held the knife against the throat of the couple’s roommate. When the couple’s upstairs neighbor went downstairs to see what was happening, Hasel threw the knife across the living room at him. The knife lodged in the wall about 2 feet from the man, Vaughn said.
Hasel was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.

another alcohol related crime. probably the worst, most harmful, family distroying drug ever consumed by the american public. so let's have a toast or 3 to the fight against marijuana. more deaths by murder, manslaughter, and automobile can be attributed to this evil, evil drug than guns ever have or ever will. sooooo, lets give children the keys to death er... cars and let's have a classy cocktail and talk about banning guns. really logical huh?
