— Applications for early admission to kindergarten in the Janesville School District must be made no later than April 30. A meeting where parents may learn more about the process is set for April 10.

The meeting of the Janesville Talented and Gifted Association is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10. The meeting will include a presentation by school psychologist Craig Belknap on early entrance to kindergarten.

The meeting will be at the Educational Services Center, 527 S. Franklin St.

Children usually enter kindergarten if they reach age 5 by Sept. 1. The parent or guardian of a child who will be 5 after Sept. 1 and on or before Nov. 1 may apply to have that child admitted to kindergarten that year.

Applications must be in writing to the coordinator of talented and gifted at the district office, 527 S. Franklin St., Janesville, WI 53548. For more information, call Ruth Robinson at (608) 743-5035.
