Lake Geneva Badger remains the front-runner in Lakeshore Conference boys basketball.


Badger High pounced on the visiting Wilmot Panthers for a 19-9 lead in the first quarter Tuesday night and went on to a 67-38 victory.


That lifted the Badgers to 5-0 in the conference and gave them a one-game lead over Racine St. Catherine’s (4-1).


After leading 35-24 at halftime, Badger put Wimot away in a 32-14 second half.


Braden Tice led Badger with 24 points, including four three-point goals. Jimmy Merrit had points for the Badgers, and Kevin Wipters added 13.


Andy Jaeger and Wes Brown each scored 11 for Wilmot, which fell to 0-5 in the conference.
