Arrests

-- ANTONIO D. HICKMAN, 20, whose address was listed as the Rock County Jail, on a charge of substantial battery Wednesday after another inmate at the jail—an 18-year-old Janesville man—was beaten Monday. The 18-year-old was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.


-- SOUPHY SISOPHA, 53, of 702 S. Washington St., Janesville, on a bench warrant Thursday at his home charging failure to appear in court on an earlier charge of third-offense drunken driving.


-- DANIEL R. DONEHUE, 39, of 2021 Townline Ave., Beloit, on bench warrants this morning at the Rock County Jail charging failure to appear in court on earlier charges of felony battery, felony bail-jumping, misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor bail-jumping.


-- PAULA A. BARTZ, 35, of 2095 Lilly St., No. 6, East Troy, in Waukesha on Thursday on bench warrants charging failure to appear in court on earlier charges of third-offense drunken driving and driving on a revoked license.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- ERIC A. CALKINS, 21, of 4430 N. Fellows Road, Evansville, at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday at North Gilbert and Janesville streets in Footville. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge; also ticketed for driving on a revoked license.


-- DAVID J. WHITTIER, 48, of 117 W. Beloit St., Darien, at 10 a.m. Sunday at Highway 14 and Emerald Grove Road in Bradford Township. Deputies reported he was under the influence of legally prescribed pain medication.

-- SEXUAL ASSAULTS reported Wednesday to 11- and 12-year-old girls in Johnstown Township. Deputies have a suspect in the case.


-- SEXUAL ASSAULT reported Wednesday to a 12-year-old girl in Orfordville. Deputies have a suspect in the case.


-- THEFT of furniture and household accessories from a storage area on West Court Street owned by SSI Technologies reported Thursday, though the theft is thought to have occurred in early December. Reported stolen were a suede leather sofa and chair, glass table, chairs and a bowl, total value $19,500.


-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 4400 block of Fieldcrest Drive in Janesville reported Thursday. Reported stolen were two TVs, two iPods, video game controller and games and a diamond ring, total value $6,420.


-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 800 block of Arlington Court in Janesville reported Thursday. A TV and video games, total value $1,925, reported stolen.
