— Delavan police are asking for the public’s help to solve an armed robbery.

At 4:05 p.m. Monday, a man entered the Walgreens , went to the pharmacy and handed the pharmacist a note demanding prescription pain medication and anti-anxiety drugs.

The pharmacists gave him the bottles.

“We’re still looking into different aspects of the case,” said Capt. Jim Hansen of the Delavan Police Department. “We believe there might have been a similar case in Milwaukee.”

The suspect implied he had a gun, but none was shown.

The suspect is a white man in his mid- to late 30s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches inches tall.

He was wearing a grey watch cap, brown leather jacket, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and black gloves. He had a goatee at the time of the robbery.

He was last seen on foot going south out front doors of the store toward Highway 50.

Anyone with information should contact the Delavan Police Department at (262) 728-6311 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 242-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
