East Troy clinches second-straight Lakes title

— The East Troy High boys basketball team gave a repeat performance Friday night.

The fifth-ranked Trojans (16-2, 10-1), behind 19 points from Alex Bondar, cruised to a 75-43 Southern Lakes victory over Fort Atkinson to clinch a second-straight conference title.


Cody Condon and Allen Loth added 12 points each for the Trojans, who hit nine three-point baskets.


Reid Hitt paced Fort Atkinson (6-9 and 4-6) with 15 points.

?n Milton 63, Whitewater 55—Milton High School had no answer for Whitewater’s Miles Hookstead, but the Red Hawks ruled thanks to a huge third quarter.


Milton (9-9, 5-5) trailed 32-24 at the half, but staggered the Whippets (9-8, 3-6) with a 21-6 advantage in the third quarter for a 45-38 lead. The Red Hawks led the rest of the way.


Milton’s Mason Walters scored 20 points, while teammates Brandon Knudtson and Desmond Pollard scored 11 points apiece.


Hookstead scored 31 points for game honors, while teammate Tony Bilderbeck scored 12 points.

n Elkhorn 47, Jefferson 39—The Elks (13-4, 7-3) gained a 17-7 advantage in the third quarter to pull away from the Eagles (3-13, 0-10).


Eric Bryson scored six of his 11 points in the third quarter to lead Elkhorn. Trevor Propst scored 12 points for Jefferson.
