Arrests

-- JOSHUA L. MYERS, 18, of 2725 Woodlane Drive, Janesville, on a charge of burglary at Chestnut Street and Wilson Avenue on Thursday night, and A 16-YEAR-OLD RIPON BOY taken into custody at Rockport Road and Park Avenue and referred to juvenile authorities on charges of burglary and criminal damage, both in connection with the reported theft of appliances valued at $300 and an estimated $1,025 damage done to a residence in the 200 block of Rockport Road in Janesville.


-- CALVIN L. WORTHAM, 25, of 313 St. Lawrence Ave., Beloit, on a warrant Thursday charging felony failure to report to jail.


-- RICARDO S. ORTIZ, 19, of 412 S. Wisconsin Ave., Beloit, on charges of assault by prisoner and criminal damage at the Rock County Jail after a 17-year-old inmate from Beloit reporting being spat upon in the face and a corrections officer discovered a cell window cracked with damage estimated at $500.


Accidents

-- 6600 E. STORRS LAKE ROAD in Milton Township at 3:22 p.m. Saturday, a pickup truck driven by Gregory S. Matijevich, 39, of 530 E. Ellendale Road, No. 450, Edgerton, struck James M. Munn, 50, of 10147 W. Stuart Road, Orfordville, as Munn walked and Matijevich drove on the frozen surface of Storrs Lake. Munn was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Matijevich was arrested on a charge of causing injury by intoxicated driving,


-- HIGHWAY 14 AT COUNTY MM, at 8:40 a.m. Saturday. A car driven by Michelle L. Ramos, 33, of 1717 Green Forest Run No. 100, Janesville, was eastbound on Ruger Avenue/Highway MM and stopped at the intersection with Highway 14. Ramos then proceeded into the intersection, colliding with a pickup truck driven by Kenneth R. Disch, 41, 2351 S. Avalon Road, Avalon. Ramos was treated and released at Mercy Hospital. She was cited for failing to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
