DMV opens expanded Janesville center
Work began July 2 on the 22-year-old building, which remained opened to customers throughout construction, and cost nearly $500,000.
The remodeling and 1,366-square-foot addition to the 4,048-square-foot building have made it more customer and environmentally friendly—better, safer and faster, Traska said.
The new take-a-number system replaced the maze and allows people to sit and wait instead of stand in a serpentine line.
Six service windows are open, and the driver’s license photo area was moved to the opposite end of the service counter.
