Williams Bay High School has a 12-game winning streak and is within counting distance of a repeat championship in Trailways South boys basketball.

The Bulldogs pushed their conference record to 12-0 and maintained a three-game lead in the loss column over second-place Deerfield (8-3) by topping Hustisford, 50-42, Friday night.

Williams Bay, 14-1 for the season and No. 8 in the AP Division 4 state ratings, can clinch a title tie by winning a makeup game Monday at Pardeeville.

Damien Brellenthin scored 13 of his game-high 18 points in the first half to help put Williams Bay in control against Hustisford (6-6). The Bulldogs led 12-4 after the first quarter and 27-11 at halftime, then withstood the Falcons’ bid for a second-half comeback.
