Cyber crime leads to two arrests

— Two Beloit residents have been arrested in conjunction with a cyber crime, according to town of Beloit police.

Laura A. Valenzuela, 31, was arrested on charges of eight counts of financial transaction card crimes. Anthony E. Hyser, 35, was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property.

Both live at 10152 Liberty Ave., Beloit, where more than $1,227 worth of stolen items were recovered. Computer components and financial documents seized are being sent to the Wisconsin Crime Lab for further analysis and processing for this ongoing investigation.

Valenzuela and Hyser were released with a mandatory court appearance at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26.
