— Brodhead resident Michael Krupke has announced he will run as a write-in candidate for the Brodhead School Board.

Carol Kloepping, Susan Welch, Jim Wahl and Chris Searles, have filed to run for re-election. Incumbent Doug Zettle will not run again.

Krupke is the general manager at Decatur Lake Golf Course and is a 1977 Brodhead High School graduate. He and his wife, Robin, have a daughter, Meghan, who is a freshman at the high school.

“Having gone to school here, I think we’re really fortunate in Brodhead to have the school system that we do and the opportunities that the kids have,” he said. “I want to give back to the community and the school system. I believe in it. I don’t have any agenda, I just want to help out.”
