— The United Way of Rock County recently received $2,500 from AnchorBank to go toward its annual community campaign.

The donation from AnchorBank will provide funding for various community programs to help improve the lives of children and families throughout the community.

Of the many programs offered by the United Way of Rock County, some focus on community needs such as affordable housing, unemployment and economic development.

Through AnchorBankís charitable contribution program, Anchoring Communities Together, the bank supports United Way organizations statewide, contributing more than $95,000 a year as well as individual employee contributions.

Since the programís inception in the spring of 2006, ACT has focused charitable giving efforts on subsidizing affordable housing, fostering financial literacy, bolstering economic development and nourishing diverse arts and culture.
