Blue Angels consider show at Rock County's Airfest

The event coordinator for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Jet Show Team is pleased with both the facilities and safety offered by the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.

Flight Officer Lieutenant Amy Tomlinson visited the Janesville area this week. She says the area is being checked out to see if the team can put on a safe show this season. Tomlinson is impressed with the friendliness and cooperation of all parties involved. To ensure crowd safety, roads, and even a river in this case, would need to be closed. She says this is all possible at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.

The announcement will be made Monday, if the Blue Angels will be performing at the Southern Wisconsin Airfest this May.
