Computer virus at Janesville schools prompts upgrades in Beloit
The Beloit School District is taking a lesson from the Janesville School District's problems with a computer virus.
Network Engineer Ed Scoville says Beloit is revamping its computer disaster recovery plans. He says the district might also upgrade its security programs. The district is also implementing different levels of computer access for students and teachers.
Scoville says the school district's computer plans haven't changed, but they're accelerated. He says the computer virus in Janesville has opened up everybody's eyes and encouraged them to move faster with computer security.
