The Rock County Board of Health Wednesday will review a recent report on Wisconsin's County Health Rankings.

Interim County Health Officer Karen Cain says an extremely low ranking for personal health behaviors among Rock county residents is a real concern. Cain says the goal will be to get individuals to be more health conscious overall. She says that would improve the rankings compared to the rest of the state, but the real desire is to improve people's health. Cain expects problem areas highlighted by the report, to be incorporated with an ongoing county health needs assessment, to create new strategies for public health programs and education.

The report was prepared by the Wisconsin Population Institute.
