Brodhead wins thriller in 2 OTs

— Ethan Douglas swept end for 14 yards for the game-winning touchdown in the second overtime to lead Brodhead/Juda to a 13-10 nonconference victory in double overtime at Mayville on Friday night.

The game was sloppy and scoreless in the first half. Brodhead/Juda scored first on a 30-yard pass from Beau Benner to Trevor Klein to take a 7-0 lead in the third quarter.


Mayville sent it to overtime with a TD in the fourth period. No one scored in the first OT, but Mayville took a 10-7 lead in the second overtime on a 27-yard field goal.


On its possession, Brodhead/Juda got a first down at the Mayville 14, and Douglas swept in on the next play to win the game.

Nathan Nagel kicked two extra points and caught four passes for 39 yards for the Chiefs. Harvard was driving for the potential game-tying TD and two-point conversion when Big Foot’s Nick Voss intercepted a pass at the Chiefs 5 and returned to midfield with about six minutes left in the game.
