Snappers break loose against Kane County

— After splitting back-to-back extra-inning games, the Beloit Snappers pounded the Kane County Cougars, 10-1, in Midwest League baseball here Wednesday.

Beloit scored five runs in the fourth inning to gain a 9-1 lead. Allan de San Miguel and Andrew Schmiesing each hit RBI doubles to highlight the rally.

Snappers starter Henry Reyes (3-3) allowed one run on five hits through seven innings to gain the victory.
