Craig sweeps Rock Run

— Janesville Craig High School’s boys and girls cross country teams were in midseason form in the Rock Run here Thursday.

The Cougars won both team titles, and they had the individual champions in Ryan Ahrens and Cassidi Running.

The Craig boys finished with 19 points to easily win the six-team title. Craig’s top four runners finished in the top five. Besides Ahrens, who won the 5,000-meter race in 17:19.17, Matt McDonald was third, Jason Ruchti fourth and Sully Hrycay fourth. Milton’s Michael Roherty finished second.

The Cougar girls finished with 33 points to outdistance Janesville Parker (57). Running won with a time of 15:48.6, while Craig’s Rachel Gilmore was third and Parker’s Brooke King fourth.
