Beloit falls to Burlington

— The Beloit Snappers tumbled, 4-2, to the Burlington Bees in the Midwest League baseball here Friday.

Burlington’s Nicholas Francis stroked a bases-loaded two-run single in the fifth inning to snap a 2-2 tie.


Snappers’ starter Shooter Hunt (1-2) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits through the first six innings.


Hunt issued a pair of walks to open the fifth inning. Michael Tarsi walked the bases loaded and surrendered Francis’ single.
