— The Janesville Gazette has obtained the audio files of two police calls in recent weeks to the home of Shaun and Jennifer Vordermann, 39 Mildred Ave., Edgerton.

The couple were found dead in the bedroom of the home Monday. Shaun shot Jennifer and then himself, according to police reports.

The first call was from Jennifer’s mother, Tina Ellingson Pond, to police the night of Aug. 13. Pond was disturbed by text messages from her daughter but could not get in touch with Jennifer.

The second call was from Jennifer, on her cell phone in Madison, to police the night of Aug. 16. Shaun had been sending Jennifer messages, threatening to kill himself.
