Snappers stung by Bees
BURLINGTON, IOWA Chris Robinson stung the Beloit Snappers here Thursday night.
Robinson hit a pair of home runs to lift the Burlington Bees to a 6-2 win over the Snappers in Midwest League baseball.
Beloit tied the game at 2-2 in top of the fourth on Andrew Schmeising’s RBI single, but Robinson hita two-run homer in the bottom of the inning to put the Bees back on top 4-2. Robinson has 16 home runs for the season.
Henry Reyes (2-3) suffered the loss. Estarlin De Los Santos had three hits for the Snappers.
Game two of the four-game series is tonight.
