Contractors for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation inspected the Monterey Bridge in Janesville this morning.

Local officials were concerned about the impact of June’s record flooding on the bridge’s structure.

“They found nothing to be concerned about, nothing of any significance,” said Matt Murphy, the department’s bridge maintenance and inspection engineer.

Collins Engineers of Cudahy, a firm that specializes in underwater bridge inspections, did the work.
