Beloit City Council to review Turtle Island renovations
Beloit's City Council is scheduled to approve plans Monday for the renovated Turtle Island playground.
City Manager Larry Arft says the total cost is around $600,000, mostly raised by Beloit 2020. He says there aren't safety concerns with the 15-year-old wooden playground, but there are some accessibility issues. The city's insurance carrier recommended it be replaced.
