The Democratic candidates for the First Congressional District plan to put a little pressure on incumbent Republican Paul Ryan of Janesville.

During a League of Women Voters Forum Tuesday afternoon at the Janesville Senior Center, candidate Paulette Garin of Kenosha outlined her platform of improved healthcare and education for everyone. Her opponent in the upcoming primary, Marge Krupp of Pleasant Prairie also has Ryan in her sights. She says she quit her job to run, because it'll take a full time candidate to beat Ryan. A third Democratic candidate, Mike Hebert, was unable to attend.

The primary is set for September 9th.
