Fuel prices drive demand for new home heating technology

Electricity and ethanol for cars aren't the only alternatives energy conscious consumers are interested in.

Lloyd's Plumbing and Heating in Janesville Sales Manager Rich McCarten says more and more home owners are investigating renewable technologies. McCarten doesn't expect the trend to change anytime soon. He says solar, geo-thermal, and heat pump technologies top the list of what customers are asking for.

McCarten says this is the most excitement over alternative fuels and systems he's seen during his 30-years in the industry.
