— Beloit police report a "drive-by, gang related" shooting on the city's northeast side Monday night around nine o'clock.

Captain Bill Tyler says a 16 year old male was standing in the front yard of a home near the intersection of Bayliss and Dewey Avenues when several shots were fired from a passing car. The victim was hit "at least once" in the back according to Tyler. The injury is considered non life threatening.

Tyler says the investigating is continuing and no arrests have been made yet.
