Six arrested after morning robbery

— A 26-year-old Janesville man was arrested this morning after police say he robbed a woman of $300 cash, according to a news release.

Kenneth J. Head was arrested on charges of robbery, obstructing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The woman reported to police at about 1 a.m. that Head had robbed her, then Head fled into a home at 574 S. Main St. No weapon was used, and the victim was not injured.

Police conducted a search warrant of the home at about 4 a.m., but did not locate the stolen money.

The search resulted in Head’s arrest and five others:

-- Sheena J. Whitehead, 26, Janesville, on charges of obstructing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

-- Jeremy M. O’Neal, 18, Chicago, on a charge of obstructing.

-- Keithrick D. Childs, 18, Chicago, on a charge of obstructing.

-- Victoria L. Matrick, 27, Janesville, on a charge of obstructing.

-- A 15-year-old Janesville girl referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of obstructing.
