Rock County

-- DAVID R. GALVAN, 28, with no fixed address, at 1:35 a.m. Sunday at the Rock County Jail on a charge of battery by an inmate.

-- AMY J. VAZQUEZ CASH, 43, 3323 Mt. Zion Ave. No. 6, at 2:40 p.m. Monday at 3524 E. Milwaukee St. on charges of attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.

-- TYLER J. SALYERS, 19, 1515 Wisconsin Ave., Beloit, at 4 p.m. Monday at 200 E. Highway 14, on a bench warrant charging failure to appear in court for a previous charge of theft of moveable property.

-- JEFFREY A. HAMRE, 40, 1315 Maple Ave., Janesville, at 4:21 p.m. Monday at 1501 Linden Ave. on a charge of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon while intoxicated. Also on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed.

-- ERIN D. ROBBINS, 30, 1720 Highland Ave., Janesville, at 10:45 p.m. Monday on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- PEGGY L. KLEINER, 47, 800 Elm Drive No. 114, Edgerton, at 4:19 p.m. July 29 on North Highway 51, south of Consolidated School Road in Fulton Township. It was reported as Kleiner’s third drunken-driving arrest.

-- VALERY A. JESSIE, 30, 646 S. Garfield St., Janesville, at 2:10 a.m. Friday at South Highway 51 and West Airport Road in Rock Township. Also on a charge of operating after revocation and ticketed for speeding. It was reported as Jessie’s second drunken-driving arrest.

-- ANGELA R. SYVRUD, 17, of Madison, at 3:38 a.m. Sunday at East Highway 14 and South Van Allen Road in La Prairie Township. Also ticketed for speeding.


-- ESCAPE, when a Rock County correctional officer reported Thea M. Fleishman, 17, 502 Linn St. No. 13, Janesville, failed to report to the Workender Program 8 a.m. Sunday.


-- INJURY ACCIDENT at County D/Afton Road and Rockport Park Drive at 8:21 a.m. Saturday. Stephen P. Wincapaw, 49, 3309 Colby Lane, Janesville, apparently was driving south on County D/Afton Road when he attempted to turn left into the Rockport Dog Park. As Wincapaw attempted to make the turn, another southbound vehicle driven by Derek J. McAuliff, 26, 3726 Birdsong Lane, Janesville, slammed on his breaks, attempting to stop, and ran out of room, colliding with Wincapaw’s vehicle. Wincapaw’s vehicle spun around and ended up in the east ditch of County D/Afton Road. Wincapaw’s passenger, Julie M. Rotzoll, 49, 2217 Frontier Road, Janesville, was thrown from the vehicle through the passenger window. Rotzoll and McAuliff were taken to the hospital, but patient conditions were unknown as of press time.

Walworth County

-- THREE 17-YEAR-OLD BOYS, one from Lake Geneva and two from Whitewater, on Thursday on charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft. They are accused of breaking into the concession stand at Veterans Park in Lake Geneva and stealing candy, energy drinks and money. The boys are the same ones that allegedly broke into Perkins Stadium at UW-Whitewater earlier that morning.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- JAMES V. GOUTCHER, 34, of 934 E. Main St., Whitewater, on Sunday at 200 S. Second St., Whitewater.

-- DIANA R. ARANDA, 25, of 234 S. Janesville St., Whitewater, on Monday on Highway 12. She also was cited for operating after revocation.
