RSS

The Janesville Police Department is planning a real show as part of National Night Out.

Crime Prevention Officer Chad Sullivan says the popular annual event will be held in front of the police station Tuesday night. Kicking off the show portion of the evening will be an appearance by the department's two canine units. Lieutenant John Olsen expects the dogs to be a big hit with the crowd. The swat team will also offer a demonstration. Finally, a very dedicated officer will show the crowd what it's like to be hit with a "taser". Free food, games, and educational booths open at 5:30, with the demonstrations set to begin at 6:30.

Typically hundreds of residents turn out.
