Arrests

-- THERESA L. TEAL, 18, of 552 N. Pine St., Janesville, on charges of delivering prescription medication to other inmates at the Rock County Jail and delivery of other articles to inmates Thursday.


-- MELISSA J. KELLY, 29, Springfield, Ill., formerly of Beloit, in Illinois on Sunday on a Rock County warrant charging party to identity theft for financial gain in a case in which a Janesville man reported fraudulent withdrawals from his bank account and purchases on his credit cards amounting to more than $22,500.


-- ANTHONY D. SHEKO, 28, Harvey, Ill., in Illinois on Sunday on a Rock County warrant charging possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.


-- MICHAEL W. PERTEETE, 37, of 418 Center Ave., Janesville, at his home Monday night on a charge of substantial battery. A 31-year-old Janesville man is reported as the victim in the incident.


-- VERNELL L. STEVENSON, 28, a Rock County Jail inmate, on Monday at the jail on warrants charging two counts of cocaine delivery and two counts of disorderly conduct.


-- ROBERT L. SYMPSON, 20, of 5818 S. Highway 51, Janesville, at his home Monday morning on charges of physical abuse to a child, battery, disorderly conduct and bail-jumping.


-- TRACY R. MARTINEZ, 37, of 4312 W. Rotamer Road, Janesville, at 4:29 a.m. Tuesday at the Janesville Police Department, 100 N. Jackson St., Janesville, on a charge of felony battery after a domestic dispute at her home. She is accused of pushing her 64-year-old mother.


-- SCOTT A. CHRONINGER, 17, of 627 1/2 N. Chatham St., Janesville, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 709 E. Centerway St. for possession with intent to deliver marijuana within 1,000 feet of a park.


-- MATTHEW L. LOERTSCHER, 28, of 2634 N. Lexington Drive, No. 7, Janesville, at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home on a bench warrant charging failure to appear in court on earlier charges of drunken-driving and having a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration.


-- RICHARD A. RAY, 54, of 3704 Stuart, No. 7, Janesville, at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday at his home on a bench warrant charging failure to appear in court on earlier charges of forgery.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- ZACHARY T. HARVEY, 20, Burlington, at 11:34 p.m. Thursday on East Bowers Lake Road east of County KK in Lima Township. Also ticketed for driving on a suspended license and underage drinking and arrested on a charge of criminal damage after a deputy reported that Harvey kicked and damaged a squad car window.


-- DANIEL D. MCKAIG, 44, of 4009 Riverside Drive, Edgerton, at 8:23 p.m. Saturday at West Crystal Drive and North Amber Trail in Fulton Township. It was reported as his third arrest on a drunken-driving charge. Also arrested on a charge of driving on a revoked license.


- SERGIO VERA, 36, of 1426 Argall Ave., Beloit, at 9 p.m. Saturday on Highway 51 south of County Q in Beloit Township. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge. Also arrested on a charge of driving on a revoked license and ticketed for open intoxicants in a vehicle.


-- SONIA L. MONTERO, 27, Madison, at 3:14 a.m. Sunday on Highway 213 west of West Hafeman Road in Plymouth Township. It was reported as her second arrest on a drunken-driving charge.


Reported

-- BURGLARY to a garage in the 400 block of North Highway 104, Brodhead, reported Saturday. Reported stolen were a portable air tank and 2 1/2-gallon gas tank.


-- THEFT of a 2006 Skidoo snowmobile and trailer, total value $13,300, from a residence on North County F in Janesville Township reported Sunday.


-- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY to a residence in the 700 block of North Garfield Avenue, Janesville, reported Monday. Someone tried to open the patio door but was unsuccessful and left the scene.


-- BURGLARY to a home in the 2300 block of Hawaii Drive in Janesville reported Monday. Change with an estimated value of $100 reported taken.


Accidents

-- SOUTH HIGHWAY 140 AND EAST HIGHWAY 11/14, Bradford Township at 11:34 p.m. Friday. A truck driven by Alexander C. Korth, 19, W8010 County X, Darien, was northbound on Highway 140 and continued through the stop sign, crossed Highway 11/14 and went off the north edge of the roadway. The truck went airborne and into a steep ditch, struck the ditch and continued into a muddy field, where it came to rest. Korth was arrested on a charge of possessing marijuana and ticketed for underage drinking and not wearing a seatbelt. He was treated and released from Mercy Hospital in Janesville.


-- COUNTY Y NORTH OF HIGHWAY 26 in Harmony Township at 11:29 a.m. Saturday, a pickup truck driven by Timothy M. Jenson, 51, of 4422 North County Y, pulled into the path of a car driven by Michael J. Ree, 50, of 22 Rogers St., No. 5, Milton. Ree, who was ticketed for a seatbelt violation, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Jenson was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.


-- MILTON AVENUE AND KETTERING STREET in Janesville at 4:26 p.m. Monday, a vehicle driven by Kiara E. Shaw, 18, of 5128 Buckskin Drive, Janesville, rear-ended a car driven by Mary C. Hill, 57, of 904 Stark Road, Milton, and pushed it into a car driven by Gary O’Donnell, 63, of 239 S. Ridge St., Whitewater. Hill was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.


Fire

-- RECYCLING MATERIAL AND COMPACTOR FIRE at 4:29 p.m. Monday at the Janesville Recycling Center, 340 Black Bridge Road, Janesville. Cause of fire remains unknown; $5,000 damage occurred. Janesville firefighters remained on scene until 6:55 p.m. The road was closed between Mayfair and Parker drives during the fire.
