-- A 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY referred to juvenile authorities Wednesday on a charge of second-offense possession of a weapon other than a firearm—an air pellet gun—on school grounds at Parker High School, 3125 Mineral Point Road, Janesville.


-- STEVEN R. SALINAS, 19, of 4409 Fairfield Drive, Janesville, on charges of forgery and theft by an employee Thursday at the Rock County Jail.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- JENNIFER L. HURD, 26, of 3404 Amhurst Road, Janesville, at her home early Thursday morning after her sport-utility vehicle ran into a traffic signal in the median at Milton Avenue and Kettering Street in Janesville at 12:17 a.m. and she left the scene.


Reported

-- SEXUAL ASSAULT to a 16-year-old girl in Rock Township reported Thursday. The girl knows the 18-year-old man suspected in the case.


Accidents

-- HIGHWAY 14 AND TOLLES ROAD in Porter Township at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, an eastbound minivan driven by George J. Shurrush, 70, Madison, overtook and struck an eastbound minivan driven by Lou K. Winger, 63, of 9529 W. Gibbs Lake Road, Edgerton, as it slowed to turn left. Shurrush’s van clipped Winger’s as he veered to try to avoid the collision, and it struck a tree. Shurrush was ticketed for unreasonable speed. Both drivers were reported transported for medical attention. Winger was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
