— Come hear him play now, because soon he’ll be working in the film industry.

Beloit College senior Kenneth Blaine will perform his senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Janesville Performing Arts Center.

The concert is free, but Mr. Blaine has asked that donations be collected at the concert to benefit the Janesville Performing Arts Center.

In a few months, Blaine will be employed full-time with Tax Credits, a leading company in the film industry that helps placing film producers in states where financial incentives are best.

But for now, he’s still a serious and well-trained pianist.

Blaine has performed as guest artist with the Beloit Janesville Symphony on two occasions.

He studies piano with Dr. Renato Premezzi.

During the summer after his freshman year, he studied piano in Urbino, Italy. During winter break of his sophomore year, he organized a concert at the Casa de la Musica in Quito, Ecuador. There, he performed for an audience of more than 300, including the first lady of Ecuador.

Blaine has worked at the Armory Dinner Theater, playing keyboard in productions of “Miss Saigon,” “Aida” and “Jekyll and Hyde.”
