-- MARIA GONZALEZ-MARTINEZ, 31, of 1211 Sylvester St., No. 4, Janesville, on a charge of identity theft for financial gain and obstructing Thursday after a woman in Waukegan, Ill., reported receiving a notice from the Internal Revenue Service that she owed more than $2,600 in back taxes from two jobs in Wisconsin. Investigation led officers to Gonzalez-Martinez, who, officers reported, was using the Illinois woman’s name and Social Security number to work at Monterey Mills in Janesville.
-- A 16-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE GIRL referred to juvenile authorities Sunday on a charge of forgery.
-- RONALD L. JONES, 30, of 1300 Winston Drive, No. 4, Edgerton, on Saturday on felony fugitive warrant issued by Boone County, Ill.
-- GENEVA T. WALKER, 18, of 22 S. Wisconsin St., Janesville, on a charge of substantial battery Monday night at her home after police responded to a complaint of several women fighting at East Milwaukee and Wisconsin streets. In the same incident, MARGARET A. BELL, 19, of 104 Linn St., Janesville, and LATISHA D. STEWART, 19, of 314 McKinley St., No. 4, Janesville, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct. A 20-year-old Janesville woman was reported as the victim in the incident.

-- JOHN R. ANDERSON, 36, of 334 Galena Road, No. 4, Footville, at 11:38 p.m. Thursday at West South and South Lucas streets in Plymouth Township. The charge carried the possible penalty enhancer of having a passenger younger than 16. Also ticketed for open intoxicants in a vehicle.
-- MICHAEL A. DESCAMPS, 38, of 421 Eisenhower Ave., Janesville, at 12:42 a.m. Saturday on County S north of Hart Road in Turtle Township. Also ticketed for speeding.
-- WHITNEY R. FARRELL, 27, of 1342 Euclid Ave., Beloit, at 3:19 a.m. Sunday at Midland Road and Midland Court in Janesville.
-- BURGLARY to a shed on West Evansville-Brooklyn Road in Union Township reported April 11. Four wheels and tires valued at $1,500 reported stolen.
-- THEFT of copper wire—15 large spools valued at $9,000 and 125 small spools valued at $6,250—from Anderson Welding, 5439 N. Harmony Town Hall Road, Milton, reported April 14. Thefts could have occurred over months.
