-- SCOTT A. QUAERNA, 39, of 7747 Highway 14, Janesville, CHRISTOPHER J. WAGNER, 20, of 215 N. Grant St., Janesville, and TIMOTHY R. WAGNER, 19, of Rock Springs, Wis., were arrested in relation to an August burglary. Quaerna was arrested on a charge of being party to a burglary. Christopher and Timothy were arrested on charges of burglary and theft. According to police documents, the men used bolt cutters to cut the lock on a storage unit on McCormick Drive in Milton. A fire pit, a car jack and a teddy bear were reported stolen.
-- JAMES F. GILLARD, 28, of 829 Arlington Court, Janesville, at his residence, on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, all within 1,000 feet of a school, after police executed a search warrant at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Also arrested were three people who live at the same address, SHANNON M. MCELHATTON, 31, on charges of possession of marijuana and cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia; PATRICK K. SWEAT, 22, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; and GARRETT L. BALLMER, 27, on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon. Police said the raid was the result of an investigation into drug trafficking that reaches from the Chicago area to Janesville. They reported confiscating cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales, 0.15 ounce of suspected cocaine, 0.98 ounce of suspected marijuana, “numerous items of drug paraphernalia” and a prohibited weapon, a leather sap. Two minor children in the residence were turned over to Rock County Social Services, which released the children to relatives.
