Grant will train Rock county workers
A state grant will help train about 200 Rock county area workers.
Secretary of the State Department of Workforce Development Roberta Gassman used the Blackhawk Technical College campus as a backdrop for the announcement. She says the state is investing $85,000 in worker training money, much of it to be used at BTC. Gassman says businesses worked with DWD to decide what training was needed. Dean Healthcare will be one of the businesses to benefit from the Emerging Industries Skills Partnership Initiative.
Gassman says these trying economic times are a good time to invest in education.
