— An 80-year-old Janesville woman afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease survived a night outdoors over the weekend apparently without any serious injuries or effects.

Police searched for Alice Graumann after she was seen leaving the Janesville Mall about 8:45 p.m. Saturday. She was seen in the ShopKo parking lot on Highway 14 about 9 p.m. Saturday, Janesville police reported.

Police asked for help from the public and media, but Graumann was not found until Sunday morning.

She walked up to a home in the 2800 block of Kennedy Road about 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and the residents contacted police.

Graumann was taken to Mercy Hospital for possible treatment but was soon released to her family, police reported.
