Brodhead-Juda continues to roll

BRODHEAD — Thunder and lightning struck and Brodhead-Juda notched a 49-14 victory over Lakeside Lutheran in a Level 2 WIAA Division 4 playoff Saturday night.

The Cardinals’ Tyler Lincoln and Gary McAdory combined for 371 yards rushing in snapping the Warriors (10-1) undefeated season for the second time in three years.

Brodhead-Juda (9-2) will face Evansville in a Level 3 game either this Friday or Saturday at a time and place to determined.

Lincoln scored on an 80-yard run to open the Cards’ romp. Lincoln added 44- and 15-yard TD runs to finish with 250 yards on 14 carries.

McAdory, a 5-foot-10, 290-pound fullback, scored twice on runs of 4 and 9 yards, finishing with 121 yards on 21 carries. Brodhead-Juda piled up 442 yards rushing on 40 carries.

The Cards rolled to a 28-7 halftime lead, and took a 42-7 lead into the fourth quarter.

Justin Eternick scored both Lakeside touchdowns on a 2- and 6-yard passes from Andy Schmidt and Nate Bauer respectively.
