— Part of West Racine Street will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. Tuesday through 5 p.m. Friday for city water system improvements, city officials announced.

The closure affects West Racine Street from Linn Street to Center Avenue.

Traffic on Center Avenue around West Racine Street will be reduced to a single lane in each direction throughout the road closure.

Beginning Monday, a front deck improvement project at the Municipal Building will close the northbound lane of North Jackson Street, between Milwaukee and Wall streets, intermittently for the next three weeks. The eastbound lane of Wall Street also will be closed.

Visitors to the Municipal Building are asked to use the north entrance on Wall Street during the project.
