Intoxicated driving arrests
-- RICK E. ELROD, 54, of 1105 Kellogg Ave., No. B22, Janesville, at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday at Highway 11 and Afton Road, Janesville.
-- VEHICLE THEFT reported at 9:55 a.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Arch Street, Janesville. A dark blue, 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, valued at $16,000, taken from a driveway.
-- BURGLARY reported at 1:46 p.m. Oct. 19 on South Kessler Road, Rock Township. The victim reported two forge blowers worth $800 stolen from an out building.
-- BURGLARY reported at 8:45 a.m. Sunday at Towne Country Club, 115 Jensen St., Edgerton. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.
-- THEFT of $2,989 through a telephone scam reported by an 82-year-old Beloit man, who told deputies he paid the money because he was persuaded that it was a prepayment of taxes on a $10 million prize from Readerís Digest Millionaires Club.
-- BURGLARY reported at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South High Street, Janesville. Victim reported $187 stolen.
-- VEHICLE THEFT reported at 6:54 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of La Mancha Drive, Janesville.
-- BURGLARY reported at 5 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 1200 block of Benton Avenue, Janesville. A bike valued at $750 was reported stolen from a garage.
-- BURGLARY reported at 6 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 1000 block of Park Ridge Road, Janesville. Two bikes valued at $200 were reported stolen. They later were recovered.
-- BURGLARY reported at 9:18 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Randall Avenue, Janesville. Victim reported $300 stolen.
-- MILWAUKEE STREET AT LUTHER ROAD, JANESVILLE, at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday. A car driven by Jamaine L. Green, 20, Madison, failed to stop for a stop sign on Luther and hit a sport utility vehicle driven by Royal L. Laws, 68, of 4239 Wilshire Lane, Janesville. Lawsí vehicle was pushed into an SUV driven by Robert C. Restivo, 69, of 3412 LaMancha Drive, Janesville. Laws and Restivo were treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Green was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to yield the right of way.
-- MILWAUKEE STREET NEAR ALPINE DRIVE, JANESVILLE, at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday. Vehicles driven by Curtis E. Austin, 91, of 3808 N. Wright Road, No. 323, Janesville, and Gerald E. Annen, 65, of 702 Lyndhurst Drive, Janesville, both were eastbound on Milwaukee Street when Annenís van stopped for a car that was turning, and Austinís vehicle struck the van in the rear. Annen was treated and released at Mercy Hospital. Austin cited for following too closely and driving an improperly registered vehicle.
-- HIGHWAY 11 SOUTH OF COUNTY B, CENTER TOWNSHIP, at 11:10 a.m. Sunday. A motorcycle driven by Robert G. Casiday, 61, of 404 Longwood Drive, Janesville, slid on its side, ejecting Casiday. He was reported transported for medical attention.
-- HIGHWAY 213 AND LAIRD ROAD, NEWARK TOWNSHIP, at 11:45 a.m. Saturday. A vehicle driven by Joyce C. Malmquist, 56, went off the pavement while Malmquist was tuning her radio. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to spin and overturn in a ditch, landing on its roof. Malmquist was treated at released at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
