The Janesville Gazette printed its first publication on the new $8.1 million KBA Comet press Thursday at their newly completed Printing and Distribution Facility.

The press is the centerpiece of the $22 million plant at 333 S. Wuthering Hills Drive in Janesville.

Thursday's press run produced a commemorative section that will be included with Monday's Gazette, which will be the first daily edition printed on the new press.

In conjunction with the new plant's opening, the company will introduce a reinvented Gazette.
