Janesville SWAT team responds after shotgun incident

— Members of the Janesville Police Department SWAT team gathered this morning in a south side trailer park off Beloit Avenue.

Sgt. Charles Aagaard said at about 8:45 a.m. that the SWAT team response was connected to a “threat investigation” at about 3:30 this morning in the 600 block of Kellogg Avenue involving a sawed-off shotgun.

No other information about the incidents was available at press time.

At least a dozen police vehicles, the department’s mobile command center and an ambulance remained on scene near the 800 block of Oriole Lane.
