Badger women beat Mississippi 74-57

— Jolene Anderson scored 19 points to lead Wisconsin to a 74-57 victory over Mississippi in semifinals of the Pepperdine Tournament Friday.

The Badgers (2-2) held Mississippi to 24.1 percent shooting in the first half and led 47-18 at intermission before cruising to the win.

Marian Dunham added 14 points for Wisconsin, while Janese Banks and Lin Zastrow had 11 each.

Kayla Melson scored 16 points, Shawn Goff had 14 and Shantell Black had 10 for Mississippi (2-2).

The Badgers outrebounded the Lady Rebels 58-34.

Wisconsin advanced to Saturday’s title game against the winner of the semifinal between Pepperdine and Texas-Arlington.
