Deputies execute 30 arrest warrants
Rock County sheriff’s deputies are actively looking for people who have outstanding warrants, rather than simply arresting them as they come into contact with them during routine police work such as traffic stops.
Sheriff Bob Spoden announced the new warrant execution team embodies his office’s aggressive pursuit of both scofflaws and serious offenders to hold them accountable for their antisocial and illegal conduct
On Monday, two two-deputy teams successfully executed and cleared 30 active arrest warrants on a variety of charges from traffic crimes to cocaine possession.
The warrant detail took into custody the 13 people responsible for the warrants.
Eleven were brought to the Rock County Jail. One person was turned over to Beloit police, and another was released following his compliance with a court order.
The execution of the 30 warrants cumulatively cleared 38 charges for the Beloit and Janesville police departments, the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
