A Williams Bay man arrested Tuesday is suspected in thefts in Clinton and in Turtle Township and is a suspect in a series of home burglaries and vehicle break-ins in Walworth County, police said.

Jonathan A. Jeske, 31, whose last known address was in Williams Bay, was arrested in Beloit and is being held at the Rock County Jail pending a court appearance today.

Jeske was arrested on charges of credit card fraud and two counts of possession of stolen property following a home burglary and vehicle break-ins in Clinton on Nov. 8, police reported.

He also was arrested on two counts of party to credit card fraud following an early-morning burglary in Turtle Township on Tuesday, police reported.

Charges in connection with home burglaries and vehicle break-ins in Walworth County are pending.

Fontana Police Chief Steve Olson said an Oct. 28 burglary in the village was “very similar” to the burglary in Turtle Township. In both incidents, the burglar stole credit cards and used them to purchase high-performance car parts over the phone from a vendor in Ohio.

Olson said Fontana police have evidence that further connects Jeske with the burglary in the village.

Olson said he will be forwarding reports to the Walworth County district attorney for possible charges of bail jumping against Jeske for violating the conditions of his bond. Jeske has several pending felonies in Walworth County and is a registered sex offender.

Police in Clinton, Turtle Township, Delavan, Delavan Township, Fontana, Williams Bay and Geneva Township along with the Rock and Walworth County sheriff’s departments continue their investigation.
