— UW-Rock County suffered a split decision in nonconference men’s and women’s basketball Wednesday.

Milwaukee Area Technical College defeated UW-Rock men, 137-70, but UW-Rock women posted a 75-32 victory over MATC.


The UW-Rock men (0-4) trailed 62-43 at the half.


The Rattlers’ Ryan Naatz scored 16 points before fouling out, while David Rasmussen added 12 points, and also fouled out. The Rattlers made 12 of 75 three-point shots

Women get first win


UW-Rock’s women had four players in double figures as the Rattlers posted a 75-32 nonconference victory over Madison Area Technical College.


Kassy Kane scored 24 points, Sarah Lancour 21, Kaylyn Sherrod 13 and Kelsey Kersten added 10 points to lead UW-Rock women (1-2) to their first win of the season.


UW-Rock women and men will host UW-Fond du Lac on Monday, Nov. 26 at 5 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
