Arrests

-- A 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE GIRL and 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY referred to juvenile authorities Wednesday on charges of operating a vehicle without owner consent after, police reported, the girl was trying to withdraw money from her parents’ bank account and the teens were driving her parents’ car.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- GREGORY A. LOPEZ, 43, of 612 Susie St., Delavan, at 6:12 p.m. Sunday on Highway 11 east of County G in La Prairie Township. Also ticketed for speeding.


-- KYLE F. CONDON, 37, Brodhead, at 6:21 p.m. Friday at Highway 11 and Potter Road in Spring Valley Township after a passer-by noticed a smoking car, apparently on fire, and pulled a coughing Condon from it. He flagged down a ride into Brodhead and was soon found by police and identified by the woman who pulled him from the car. Condon also arrested on a charge of obstructing.

-- BURGLARY reported Nov. 7 to a residence on West Finnernan Road in Magnolia Township. Reported taken were a shotgun, bow, tools, liquor, change and a safe, total value $2,850.


Accidents

-- COUNTY A WEST OF MARSH ROAD in Magnolia Township at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a sport-utility vehicle driven by Nadine M. Westby, 40, Monticello, ran off the road, flipped end over end and came to rest vertically against the house at 13804 County A. A passenger—Daniel J. Hess, 39, same address—reported a minor injury. Westby was arrested on a charge of drunken driving.


-- HIGHWAY 26 AND COUNTY N in Milton Township at 11:52 a.m. Sunday, a minivan driven by Rose M. Eissens, 59, Mazonamie, pulled into the path of a pickup truck driven by Bruce A. Bertelsen, 48, Fort Atkinson. Eissens, who was reported transported for medical treatment, was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and a seatbelt violation.


-- HIGHWAY 51 NORTH OF BELOIT-ROCK TOWNLINE ROAD in Rock Township at 6:14 p.m. Monday, a pickup truck driven by Roland S. Johnson, 35, of 616 Skylark Lane, Janesville, pulled into the path of a sport-utility vehicle driven by James C. Jensen, 52, of 1816 S. Walnut St., Janesville. Jensen was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Johnson was arrested on a charge of causing injury by drunken driving and ticketed for failure to yield the right of way and a seatbelt violation.

-- WALTER J. EWING JR., 37, of 230 Milton Ave., Janesville, with identity theft to avoid a penalty and cocaine possession, both as a repeat offender, after a Janesville police officer reported that Ewing had used another person’s name during a traffic stop.


-- ALEXANDER G. HERNANDEZ, 31, of 1315 Laramie Lane, No. 5, Janesville, with physical abuse of a child after 11-year-old Beloit boy reported that Hernandez punched him in the eye in July.


-- HARLEY D. HOOKER, 41, Menomonie, with second-degree sexual assault as a repeat offender after a Janesville woman reported he forced her to have intercourse with him in July.


-- MATTHEW L. RANSOM, 20, of 514 Wagner Drive, Clinton, with fleeing a police officer after a sheriff’s deputy reported pursuing a vehicle Ransom was driving in August.


-- LYNELL J. HARRIS, 21, 9132 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville, with two counts of party to robbery and two counts of party to battery after two Janesville men reported being beaten and robbed in August.


-- MELISA KAE ANDERSON, aka Sally A. Chapman and Sally A. Mach, 40, Colgate, with felony theft in a business setting after a partner in The Glass Gallery, a chain of seasonal kiosks with a location at the Janesville Mall, reported that Anderson, a regional manager of eight of The Glass Gallery’s locations in Wisconsin, did not forward almost $14,000 in receipts from the Janesville kiosk during the 2006 Christmas season. A Janesville detective reported that the FBI is investigating the loss of more than $114,000 from The Glass Gallery’s kiosks in Wisconsin.


-- DON Y. BANGASAN, 43, of 3360 Widgeon Drive, Janesville, with stalking, disorderly conduct and three counts of misdemeanor bail-jumping after a Janesville woman reported a series of confrontations with him between June 4 and Nov. 2.
