— The Salvation Army received a $1,000 grant from Target to help meet housing needs for homeless people in the city.

The local church and social service agency’s Pathways Transitional Housing Program provides single adults with stable housing and case management while assisting participants with self-sufficiency and personal accountability. Program participants also receive education, employment, budgeting, time management, personal growth and self-esteem assistance.

The grant is part of an ongoing nationwide effort by Target.
