— UW-Rock County lost a shootout with visiting UW-Baraboo, 135-107, in Wisconsin Collegiate College Conference men’s basketball Wednesday.

The Rattlers (0-2) shot 21-for-66 from three-point range and 32-for-128 overall on field-goal attempts.

“Our kids are not used to playing unconventional basketball,” UW-Rock coach Scott Lee said. “We’re making way too many mistakes for it to work, but we will get better.’’

David Rasmussen, a Janesville Craig graduate, scored a team-high 26 points. Teammate Matt Hilt added 22.

The Rattlers will travel to UW-Barron on Saturday.
