Arrests

-- RAYMOND C. SCOTT, 40, of 2238 Staborn Drive, Beloit, on Oct. 21 on a charge of recklessly endangering safety after residents on Brandherm Road in Avon Township reported shots coming near them and hitting their property as they worked outside. Deputies who found Scott had been hunting deer reported that he fired across the road in the direction of a visible, nearby house.


-- KRIS L. SHERIDAN, 37, Normal, Ill., on a Rock County warrant in Illinois on Monday charging felony failure to pay family support.


-- WALTER J. EWING, 37, of 230 Milton Ave., Janesville, on charges of delivering cocaine as a repeat offender, possessing cocaine and unauthorized use of another’s identification Tuesday at his home after a traffic stop. RICHARD W. SINGKOFER, 41, of 290 N. Janesville St., Milton, was arrested on a charge of possessing cocaine in the same incident.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- RYAN P. LAMBERT, 18, of 1513 Roosevelt Ave., Janesville, at 1:18 a.m. Thursday on Milton Avenue north of Holiday Drive in Janesville. Also ticketed for underage drinking.


-- DALE S. ROWE, 41, of 11307 Vogel Road, Milton, at 10:08 p.m. Sunday on Holiday Drive east of Milton Avenue in Janesville.


-- ROBERT J. PAWLUK, 22, of 119 Arbor Hill Drive, Janesville, at 2:08 a.m. today at North parker Drive and Hyatt Street in Janesville. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge.

-- ESCAPE of Zachariah L. Spittle, 24, of 18 Broadway, No. 9, Edgerton, who was released Friday from a 20-day sentence in the Rock County Jail for writing worthless checks on Huber privileges to attend a hearing in federal court in Madison. He reportedly became angry with the woman driving him, forced her out of the vehicle and said he would leave the state.


-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 300 block of North Pearl Street reported Monday. Men’s jewelry valued at $605, $40 in quarters and DVDs and a leather brief case, total value $740, were reported stolen.


Accidents

-- MEMORIAL DRIVE EAST OF WASHINGTON STREET in Janesville at 9:53 a.m. Monday, a pickup truck driven by Juan D. Suarez, 37, of 321 E. Centerway, Janesville, was reported to be speeding and swerving before it rear-ended a car driven by Brandi L. Paul, 22, of 2600 E. Racine St., No. 14, Janesville, swerved out of control and ran over the median. A passenger in Paul’s car sustained a minor injury but was not transported from the accident for medical treatment. Suarez was arrested on charges of drunken driving causing injury and hit and run from an injury accident. He also was arrested on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon—a knife—and a Rock County warrant charging felony failure to make family support payments.


-- CENTER AVENUE AND CONDE STREET in Janesville at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday, a minivan driven by John O. Wunderlin, 74, of 2137 S. Pine St., Janesville, pulled into the path of a minivan driven by Dawn R. Henning, 56, of 1904 Roosevelt Ave., Janesville. Wunderlin, who was ticketed for violating a traffic control signal, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.


-- MILTON AVENUE AND CRESTON PARK DRIVE in Janesville at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, a three-vehicle, chain-reaction, rear-end collision started when a car driven by Nathaniel L. Burt, 18, of 465 N. Chatham St., Janesville, hit the back of a car driven by Dustin L. Helgestad, 19, of 726 W. Ladd Lane, Edgerton, pushing it into a minivan driven by Michael J. Ryder, 73, of 220 Larch Lane, Milton. Burt was ticketed for following too closely. Helgestad was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
