UW women breeze past Stout
MADISON—Senior guard Jolene Anderson scored 18 points to lead the University of Wisconsin women’s basketball team to a 98-60 victory over in-state rival UW-Stout here Sunday afternoon at the Kohl Center.
It was the Badgers’ second exhibition game of the week in which UW scored at least 96 points.
Stout’s starting five gave the Blue Devils an early eight-point lead after hitting their first three shots of the game. Freshman Lin Zastrow, a Jefferson High graduate, gave Wisconsin its first points of the game after pulling down an offensive rebound before laying in the put- back. Zastrow finished with nine points, three blocks and two rebounds.
Wisconsin finished with a .494 shooting percentage, and had at least 50 rebounds for the second straight game. The Badgers pulled down 22 offensive boards and won the rebound battle against Stout’s 29.
